Education, Interpretation & Integration

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term that comprises two words: ayur (life) and veda (science or study).

An Ancient Science

This “science of life” was developed in India thousands of years ago, to help alleviate human suffering. According to Ayurveda, there are three fundamental bio-elements present in the body known as the doshas.

Vata (dry, cold, light, movement)
Pitta (heat, liquidity, sharpness)
Kapha (nourishment, heaviness, lubrication)

Alternative Medicine

Today Ayurveda, India’s traditional elemental based, medical system, is utilized around the world as a way of living, and a powerful form of understandable, accessible, alternative medicine.

By determining which dosha is in excess and creating an imbalance in the body, a path to healing can be created with Ayurvedic diet, tonic herbs and lifestyle choices.

White Lotus Ayurveda offers traditional consultations, Ayurvedic treatments and on-going lifestyle support to guide your holistic healing on your journey to wellness.
